The successful candidate will lead performance tuning, capacity planning, and automation using scripting and IaC, while ensuring compliance with security and cross-team requirements.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance required for consideration.
• 14+ years of relevant professional technical experience including database, infrastructure, systems, software, or data engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience administering and engineering PostgreSQL database environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, administer, and maintain PostgreSQL database environments for mission-critical applications.
• Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, partitioning, and capacity planning.
• Implement high availability, replication, backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring solutions.
• Develop and maintain database automation using scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Collaborate with application, data engineering, and DevSecOps teams to support deployments.
