Job summary

ARC-One Solutions is seeking a Database Administrator to oversee PostgreSQL environments across cloud and on‑premises deployments. The role focuses on security, backup/recovery, and performance tuning, with emphasis on AWS RDS/Aurora management.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on PostgreSQL administration experience, strong SQL development skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field and five or more years of related experience.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database administration (installation, configuration, upgrades, patching).
• Strong PostgreSQL performance tuning and query optimization experience.
• Experience administering Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora for PostgreSQL.
• Strong SQL development skills for OLTP and analytical platforms.
• Experience with AWS DMS and AWS Glue.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of production and non-production PostgreSQL environments., across cloud and on-premises implementations.
• Formulates and maintains database management policies, procedures, and standards.
• Reviews database designs and integrations and recommends enhancements.
• Develops, manages, and tests backup and recovery plans.
• Maintains database security and integrity controls for PostgreSQL environments.
• Administers Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora for PostgreSQL.
