Qualifications

• 10-14 years of IT infrastructure or platform engineering experience
• 6+ years of production PostgreSQL at scale
• 3+ years of Kubernetes for stateful workloads
• 3+ years building automation frameworks in Python, Go, or Bash
• Proven track record of designing and developing Database as a service

Responsibilities

• Architect PostgreSQL platform strategy across Dell’s global fleet (HA, DR, security, performance).
• Design and implement Postgres-on-Kubernetes at scale with operators (CloudNativePG/Patroni).
• Build autonomous tooling for self-healing, VACUUM/ANALYZE scheduling, and capacity alerts.
• Author IaC modules (Ansible).
• Mentor engineers and represent Postgres requirements in planning and vendor negotiations
