Senior Posterior Consumables Specialist – ZEISS Group

Join ZEISS, a global leader in science and technology with over 177 years of innovation. We are looking for a motivated, customer‑focused sales professional to protect and grow our installed base of equipment and consumables.

Role Overview

The Senior Posterior Consumables Specialist is responsible for protecting the installed base of equipment and consumables, generating new business consumable/liquids sales, committing to an annual sales budget, developing an annual business plan, and forecasting monthly consumable/liquids pipeline. The role requires strong team collaboration, excellent clinical and technical knowledge, and a high business acumen for the surgical market. The specialist reports weekly activities, represents the company professionally, and communicates market trends and competitive activities to management.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain currency of and adhere to applicable GMP and ISO 9001 processes and procedures; abide by state and federal employment laws.
  • Attain or exceed yearly revenue and profit quotas for the region of responsibility while managing within a specific expense budget.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to ensure lead sharing, installed base protection, new business consumables/liquids sales, and account development.
  • Make scheduled personalized sales demonstrations to surgeons, operating room staff, and administration at facilities in the region.
  • Maintain, analyze and utilize territory records and other information to efficiently organize, plan, execute, and measure results.
  • Educate and follow up with surgeons, operating room staff, and administration on the operation, utilization, and application of our products to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and constructive written and oral communications to management regarding expected sales planned monthly activity; operate a specific cost center to control sales, expenses, inventory, and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain Salesforce reports, dashboards, and updates relative to opportunities, leads, and sales funnel.
  • Develop and implement synergy opportunities among other Zeiss companies, Carl Zeiss Meditec field service, and other corporate partners when such programs arise.

  • Safely operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.
