Job summary

Penn State University is seeking a Post-Award Research Administrator (Senior Supervisor) to lead the Ag Research Administration Office. The role focuses on administering sponsored programs, ensuring compliance, and guiding faculty and college personnel on contractual requirements.

Responsibilities include budget setup, labor distribution, subawards, and monthly/quarterly reporting. The successful candidate will supervise staff, complete PSU ACES, and hold delegated signature authority if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 6+ years of related experience.
• Experience in sponsored programs administration or research administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and approve fund numbers, cost centers, and related account setups.
• Prepare and submit budget documents for awards, adjustments, and close-out transfers.
• Oversee labor distribution and effort reporting.
• Review expenditures and approve personnel appointments on sponsored funds.
• Run financial reports, manage subawards, and submit monthly/quarterly reports.
• Maintain knowledge of funding policies to ensure compliant award administration.
• Resolve issues and implement process improvements.
• Supervise staff, including hiring and performance management.
• Complete ACES Program and PSU Delegated Signature Authority.
