Encore Bank in Charleston, SC seeks a Portfolio Manager III to act as architect, credit steward, and deal enabler across CRE, C&I, and SBA lending. You’ll translate complex financial data into clear lending decisions, mentor junior analysts, and partner with Relationship Managers to keep deals moving smoothly.

You will oversee credit packages, reviews, and ongoing portfolio oversight, ensuring loan structures meet policy, risk standards, and client needs.

Qualifikationen

• At least 7 years of Portfolio Manager, Commercial Banking experience related to credit analysis and/or loan assistant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or other business related fields
• Fundamental understanding of commercial credit underwriting.
• Proficiency in analyzing and understanding financial statements, ratios and concepts.
• Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects in a high-pressure work environment with varying degrees of supervision.
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.
• Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Prepare Loan Offering Memorandum and/or Preflight with loan structure, sources and uses, and debt service coverage.
• Review credit package and ensure LOM matches memo; sign off for approval.
• Review loan documents for terms and covenants in LOA.
• Mentor junior credit analysts.
• Structure proposals for new, modified, and renewing loans per policy.
• Prepare term sheets and proposals with RM.
• Provide recommendations on refinancings and policy exceptions.
• Spread cash flows and Moody’s spreads; prepare full credit memos.
• Oversee asset quality and report to SCO monthly AQ meetings.
