Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic track record.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the investment management industry.
• Knowledge of investment processes and various product types.
• Experience reviewing client and regulatory guidelines.
• Interest in financial markets and instruments.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Traders to implement investment strategies via order origination in Charles River IMS for all Harris client and product types.
• Utilize critical thinking to anticipate portfolio management needs and suggest portfolio adjustments.
• Perform dispersion monitoring and provide recommendations for portfolio rebalances.
• Conduct pre-trade compliance reviews and monitor positions against guidelines; liaise with Compliance and PMs on resolutions.
• Review cash levels and manage cash flow to meet client directives.
• Onboard clients and translate written guidelines into enforceable rules in Charles River IMS; participate in IMA reviews.
• Respond to ad hoc requests and provide analytical support and improvement suggestions.
• Provide trading updates for model delivery clients according to rotation policy and identify tax trading opportunities.
• Understand, originate, and validate derivative transactions; coordinate with PMs on corporate actions.
• Assist with due diligence for unique portfolio management scenarios (in-kind transfers, cross trades, etc.).
• Demonstrate process improvements to enhance Front Office efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Charles River IMS and manage order workflows; collaborate with Technology to enhance the system.
• Mentor junior team members and learn advanced workflows.
