Job summary

The Electra Group is seeking a Project Executive in New York to lead a portfolio of electrical contracting projects. You will oversee Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and strong client relationships.

You will drive financial performance, risk management, and staffing decisions across the portfolio while collaborating with Operations, Estimating and Engineering leadership. Significant travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Electrical) or commensurate industry experience.
• 12+ years of construction project management in electrical contracting.
• Experience managing multi-project portfolios with full P&L accountability.
• Strong executive presence and communication with senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency with project controls and scheduling software; ability to lead change.
• Procore, Vista, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, MicroStation knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to a team of Project Managers across multiple concurrent projects.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Own the overall financial performance of the portfolio, including revenue and margins.
• Conduct regular project reviews to monitor progress and financials.
• Develop senior-level client relationships and manage stakeholders.
• Escalate and resolve major project risks and issues.
• Lead or oversee change orders, claims, and contractual matters.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and pursuits.
• Direct staffing decisions in partnership with Operations leadership.
• Ensure safety standards and M/W/DBE compliance across projects.
• Mentor and develop PMs and Senior PMs; present portfolio performance to leadership.
