Job summary

BBSI is seeking an experienced Master Automotive Technician specializing in internal combustion engines to join a family‑oriented shop focused on Porsche and high‑performance sports cars.

This role emphasizes precision workmanship, advanced engine diagnostics, and engine rebuilding in a collaborative, work‑life balanced environment.

Compensation starts at $100,000+ annually, with relocation assistance, four‑day workweeks every other week, up to five weeks of PTO, and paid working interviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience, with substantial hands-on experience diagnosing and rebuilding internal combustion engines.
• Strong knowledge of gasoline engine operation, mechanical tolerances, engine performance, and advanced diagnostic procedures.
• Experience working with Porsche, European performance vehicles, sports cars, or other high-performance platforms is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and overhaul internal combustion engines in Porsche and other performance-oriented sports cars.
• Perform advanced engine diagnostics using computerized scan tools, engine analyzers, oscilloscopes, and precision measuring equipment.
• Disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and reassemble engine components, including cylinder heads, crankshafts, camshafts, pistons, bearings, and valvetrain assemblies.
• Diagnose and repair fuel injection, ignition, cooling, lubrication, turbocharging, and emissions systems.
• Perform compression and leak-down testing, precision measurements, engine tuning, and post-repair performance verification.
• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild transmissions and gearboxes; complex gearbox experience is a plus.
