Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an experienced Sr Polysomnographic Technologist to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including scoring of sleep studies and preparation of preliminary reports for physician interpretation. This role also conducts sleep studies with advanced procedures and participates in quality improvement initiatives.

The Sr Technologist will mentor other technologists and students, working independently with sound judgment while ensuring patient

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist in a Sleep Disorders laboratory/center.
• BRPT or NBRC Sleep Disorder Specialty certification required (RPSGT or RRT-SDS).
• BLS certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Scores sleep studies and prepares preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
• Performs polysomnography including advanced procedures and diagnostic/therapeutic services.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and mentors students and other technologists.
• Delivers safe patient care consistent with BRPT, AASM, and Houston Methodist standards.
