Job summary

Astir IT Solutions seeks a PolyPaths Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support fixed income trading risk management and portfolio analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a domain expert in PolyPaths platform risk analytics and front-to-mid office processes.

The role involves collaborating with traders, risk managers, and technology teams to gather requirements, configure analytics, validate risk measures, and develop reports and dashboards for informed decision making.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in fixed income trading risk management and portfolio analytics using PolyPaths and Murex.
• 5+ years with PolyPaths Trading Risk Management platform.
• Strong understanding of fixed income markets and products.
• Experience with Bonds, MBS, structured products, IR derivatives, CDS.
• Experience in portfolio analytics, valuation and risk management concepts.
• Knowledge of market risk measures: duration, convexity, VaR, sensitivity, stress testing.
• Experience with Front Office, Middle Office and Risk Management teams.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• SQL and data analysis tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary SME for the PolyPaths Financial Risk Management platform.
• Support implementation, enhancements, configuration and maintenance of PolyPaths solutions.
• Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, risk managers and tech teams to translate requirements.
• Configure/validate analytics for fixed income securities, MBS, structured products, derivatives, and CDS.
• Perform portfolio risk analysis, scenario analysis, stress testing and valuation validation.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide functional support to front office and risk users.
• Drive system upgrades, testing and release management activities.
• Develop reports, dashboards and risk metrics to support business decisions.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with risk policies and regulations.
