U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) is seeking an Insurance Projects Specialist (Political Risk Insurance Underwriter) in Washington, DC.

You will manage the most complex, sensitive, or precedent-setting insurance projects that involve significant risk and judgments of insurable interests, requiring expertise in underwriting, country risk analysis, and establishing and documenting terms for insurability.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that includes the full range of origination of international political risk insurance or project finance transactions.
• Conducting due diligence on political risks related to international finance transactions.
• Developing and maintaining key relationships with new and existing clients to source business development opportunities.
• Conducting financial and credit analysis and negotiating legal agreements.
