Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in international law, IR, poli-sci, econ, history, sociology, geography, law or humanities with relevant coursework.
• 24 semester hours in international law/IR/economics/history etc., or 12+12 and coursework equivalent.
• 4 years of appropriate experience in foreign affairs or international organizations or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior advisor to the Assistant Secretary and Deputy Secretaries on political-military policy issues of national/international significance.
• Coordinate information flow, meetings and briefing materials for Bureau Principals for travel and high-profile events.
• Draft and review policy guidance, memoranda, speeches, congressional testimonies, and talking points.
