Job summary

AIPAC seeks a Vice President for Policy and Government Affairs to serve as one of its registered lobbyists. The role will build relationships on Capitol Hill, in the Executive Branch and with Washington policy community to advance AIPAC’s legislative agenda.

You will lead initiatives, supervise staff, prepare materials, speak at events, and manage a policy portfolio under PGA leadership. This is a hybrid, Washington, DC-based senior leadership position with a competitive base salary and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of policy, government relations, advocacy, or related experience.
• Prior staff management experience.
• Understanding of the legislative process and the policy-politics intersection.
• Commitment to a strong U.S.-Israel relationship.
• Familiarity with Israeli politics and Middle East policy.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Congress leadership and key committees.
• Engage with the Executive Branch and Washington policy community to advance AIPAC’s agenda.
• Lead initiatives to strengthen U.S.-Israel cooperation in assigned areas.
• Independently devise and promote policy campaigns.
• Prepare materials for internal and external audiences; speak at events.
• Supervise staff as appropriate; handle other duties as assigned.
