Join to apply for the Senior Policy Analyst role at Koniag Government Services.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Policy Analyst with a Top-Secret clearance to support KPS and our government client in Germantown, MD. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Position Overview

The Senior Policy Analyst will support the Department of Energy's Office of Classification (OC) by providing policy guidance and ensuring compliance with relevant statutes, regulations, and directives. Responsibilities include analyzing, interpreting, developing, and writing policy materials related to classification, UCNI, and CUI.

Responsibilities
  1. Interact with senior staff to provide policy guidance to the DOE community and other government agencies.
  2. Analyze, interpret, develop, and write policy materials and updates on various regulations and directives.
  3. Manage policy tasking and oversee policy analysts to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
  4. Provide quality control on all policy-related outputs.
  5. Mentor and train policy analysts in policy development and analysis.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; Master’s preferred.
  • Top-Secret clearance is mandatory.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory and management experience.
  • Proven ability to write clearly and concisely for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with advanced software applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
  • 3+ years recent experience in writing government regulations, developing internal directives, managing workflow, or implementing UCNI policies.
  • Deep knowledge of classification and UCNI policies, including relevant laws and regulations.
  • Experience analyzing and editing federal regulations within DOE, NNSA, DoD, DHS, or NRC.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Additional Information

Position is full-time, mid-senior level, in the IT Services and IT Consulting industry, based in Washington, DC, with a salary range of $75,000 - $95,000.
