Job summary

WBUR in Boston seeks a Senior Producer for the Podcasts team to lead production of Endless Thread, pitch and develop new shows, and guide editorial direction. You will collaborate with sound designers, book guests, and craft engaging scripts and titles while pushing innovative workflows including AI tools to sharpen craft.

You will mentor junior producers, manage deadlines, and coordinate across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent/relevant experience and a minimum of 5 years of experience required.
• Experience leading editorial projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of audio storytelling and podcast platforms.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Mentorship and collaborative teamwork demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Lead production for WBUR Podcasts, including Endless Thread and new series.
• Develop, pilot, and launch shows and limited series for the station.
• Book guests, write catchy episode titles, and draft scripts.
• Track mic and video recording and supervise post-production.
• Mentor junior producers and contribute to group-driven process.
