Job summary

SimIS, Inc. seeks a Senior Program Manager for Deployable Communications & IT Systems to design, secure, and optimize NATO’s electronic data networks, hardware, and communication infrastructure so they work together as one integrated system.

This 100% onsite role requires leadership in complex programs with multinational military exposure, strong risk and quality assurance skills, and a commitment to mission-focused IT integration for defense environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in program management, electronics, CS, telecommunications, systems engineering, IT, or related field.
• Ten years of experience in project management of communications or information systems.
• Three years in a multinational military environment.
• Five to ten years of experience managing risk and change in a complex program environment.
• MSP, PRINCE2 or PMI certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently deal with issues/changes that arise by using established processes, direction and guidance.
• Accurately and comprehensively capture, assess, and provide situational awareness over any changes to the programme and its projects.
• Facilitate identification and sequencing of activities and milestones.
• Contribute to a continuous process of quality improvement.
• Review Joint Staff Reports, Management Products, and project specifications for clarity and content.
• Utilize qualitative and quantitative techniques to perform programme quality reviews and audits.
• Support Bi-Strategic Commands in capturing Operational Lessons Identified and gaps in DCIS capability.
• Proactively identify risks, assess impacts, and develop responses.
• Establish and maintain the programme risk log and Risk Register.
• Identify and prepare responses to programme risks.
