Job summary

Duolingo is seeking a Product Manager to lead the Notifications surface within our growth team. You will own strategy and execution for improving how learners receive and engage with notifications, including experiments, opt-in improvements, and exploring channels beyond email.

Collaborate with engineers, data science, ML/AI, design, and product writers to ship features end-to-end, measure impact on retention and engagement, and turn learnings into roadmap priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience driving product strategy and launches for consumer mobile apps.
• Strong background in notifications or lifecycle surfaces.
• Ability to own end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to iteration.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy and execution for a major notifications surface, from identifying opportunities to shipping and iterating on solutions
• Drive the team’s roadmap across high-impact workstreams including new notification types, opt-in and reach, email, and alternative channels
• Lead product features through their full lifecycle: ideation, prioritization, specification, development, launch, analysis, and iteration
• Work closely with engineers, data scientists, ML/AI partners, product writers, and designers to create more effective and engaging notifications experiences
• Use experimentation and product intuition to uncover new opportunities, validate ideas quickly, and translate learnings into product strategy
• Improve core team metrics such as conversion, click-through rate, and opt-in, while balancing user reach and experience guardrails
• Explore how new formats, channels, and UX patterns can make notifications more personalized, engaging, and effective for different learners
• Partner closely with leadership to help shape the direction of one of Duolingo’s top teams for driving top-line impact
