Job summary
The University of Washington Facilities PDG seeks a Construction Project Manager, Major Capital Projects, to lead complex construction initiatives across Seattle campuses. Based at UW Tower and telework eligible.
You will plan, design, procure, construct and accept capital projects, supervise project managers, allocate workload, and provide yearly evaluations. Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Construction Management/Architecture and 5+ years of experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture and at least 5 years of related and progressively responsible work experience.
- Equivalency may substitute for minimum qualifications where allowed.
Responsibilities
- Manages multiple projects from identification through design, approvals, permit issuance, construction, commissioning and close out.
- Develops goals, scope, budget and schedule with user groups and obtains approval for execution.
- Maintains project budget and schedule; approves changes as required.
- Procures and manages the project team to maximize collaboration and value.
- Reviews construction with the university manager and resolves contract issues.
- Develops hazard analyses and safety plans for projects.
