Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Project Management to orchestrate planning, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives across multiple squads. You will bridge Product, Architecture, Engineering, and Operations while guiding delivery without formal authority.

The role emphasizes stakeholder communication, risk management, and executive transparency, with a focus on enterprise software delivery and scalable agile environments. Remote within the U.S. is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of project, program, or delivery management experience.
• Experience leading enterprise software delivery and scaled/Agile environments.
• Demonstrated success managing cross-functional programs with distributed teams.
• PMP, PgMP, SAFe or equivalent certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery for a medium-to-large program or multiple squads.
• Own cross-squad dependency management, critical-path management, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate release planning and execution across squads and platforms.
• Provide executive-ready delivery transparency - status, risks, and decisions.
• Align squads to business priorities, contractual obligations, and platform investments.
• Facilitate program ceremonies, planning, and cross-team alignment.
• Drive delivery process improvements and predictability across squads.
• Use AI and PM tooling for planning, reporting, and risk intelligence.
• Mentor and coach project managers; contribute to interviewing and hiring.
