Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants seeks aSenior Project Management Specialist for its Oak Ridge, TN operations, primarily supporting the Y-12 APMO and Lithium Processing Facility efforts. This onsite role requires exceptional project oversight, risk management, and coordination with federal staff and contractors.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of PM experience, a relevant engineering/science/business degree, and the ability to obtain and maintain DOE security clearances as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency with Project Scheduling, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
• Ability to oversee projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to pass federal background investigation for DOE-related work.

Responsibilities

• Provide project oversight, technical support and SME to the Y-12 PMO and LPF FPD in project management areas.
• Evaluate contractor performance, conduct cost/schedule/risk analyses and project controls evaluations.
• Participate in design and project reviews and prepare stakeholder status reporting.
• Identify and track project risks and mitigation actions; maintain project records and documentation.
• Coordinate meetings and assemble project packages for critical decision milestones.
