Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Product Manager to own fraud prevention, risk assessment, identity verification, and authentication across the customer lifecycle. You will collaborate with engineering to refine scoring logic, develop detection capabilities, and lead cross-functional incident response for fraud events.

The role emphasizes strategic execution, data-driven decisions, and strong communication in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Experience owning fraud, risk, or identity product areas in payments/fintech/marketplace.
• Strong understanding of fraud detection trade-offs and balance of security vs customer friction.
• Ability to work with engineering on scoring logic, data schemas, integrations, and auth systems.
• Experience leading or co-leading incident response and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Practical experience with AI-powered solutions to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Proven track record translating analysis into clear recommendations and roadmaps.
• Experience evaluating build-vs-buy options for fraud prevention or identity platforms.
• Confident in challenging senior stakeholders with evidence-based reasoning.
• Excellent written communication for a remote, documentation-driven environment.
• Bonus: experience in payroll, payments, money movement, vendor fraud, KYC/AML, or identity platforms; familiarity with synthetic identities and AI-assisted fraud.
• Certifications in advanced financial or fraud domains (CPA, CFA, CFE) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy and roadmap for fraud prevention, detection, identity verification, and authentication.
• Prioritize investments across teams and sequence initiatives by risk reduction and business impact.
• Develop fraud detection capabilities in collaboration with engineers; refine scoring logic and rules.
• Translate research into actionable, evidence-based decisions that drive shipped product improvements.
• Lead incident response across cross-functional teams and improve investigation processes.
• Measure product performance with metrics on detection accuracy, authentication coverage, and false positives.
• Support fraud operations with triage, case management, and workflow optimization.
• Partner with legal and governance on KYC, AML, audit readiness, and related capabilities.
• Evaluate and compare fraud prevention platforms and emerging technologies; identify scalability gains.
• Leverage AI to accelerate investigations and automate repetitive tasks.
• Challenge changes that add customer friction without meaningful risk reduction.
