Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting is seeking a Senior Commercial Framing & Drywall Project Manager in Orlando to lead large-scale projects from preconstruction through completion. You will own budgets, schedules, procurement, and profitability while coordinating with GC/architects/engineers and field teams.

The ideal candidate has proven PM experience in commercial framing and drywall, handling $10M+ projects, with strong reading of plans, cost control, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial framing, drywall, or specialty subcontracting.
• Experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects, preferably $10M+ in value.
• Strong knowledge of commercial framing and drywall systems, assemblies, and construction practices.
• Understanding of fire ratings, life-safety requirements, engineered systems, and technical construction documentation.
• Experience with budgets, cost control, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale commercial framing and drywall projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Take full ownership of project execution, including budgets, schedules, procurement, documentation, and profitability.
• Manage projects ranging from $10M+ and coordinate complex framing, drywall, and specialty assemblies.
• Work closely with General Contractors, architects, engineers, field teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Review plans, specifications, and construction details to identify potential issues and develop effective solutions.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, material quantities, and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure framing and drywall systems meet applicable specifications, fire ratings, life-safety requirements, and engineered-system requirements.
• Collaborate with Superintendents and field personnel to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
• Help establish strong project processes and develop the next generation of project leadership.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners while protecting the company's financial interests.
