Job summary

Kimbel Mechanical Systems, Inc. is seeking a Plumbing Superintendent in Dallas to lead plumbing operations for new residential construction.

You will supervise field crews, ensure all rough-in, top-out, and trim work meet codes and project specs, and coordinate inspections for timely completion. The role requires 6+ years in residential/multi-family plumbing, 3+ years in leadership, and a valid Master/Journeyman license.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years in residential and/or multi-family plumbing on new construction.
• Leadership: 3+ years in a supervisory role on construction sites.
• License: RMP or Journeyman Plumber License with Texas State Board, plus valid driver's license.
• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent construction trade experience.
• Skills: Strong understanding of Texas Plumbing Codes (IPC), blueprint reading, construction sequencing, trade coordination, communication, and site management.

Responsibilities

• Capable of taking full ownership of a residential project from ground-breaking to final trim and assist other sites as needed.
• Oversee site safety, quality control, and compliance with Texas State Board guidelines and local amendments.
• Direct and manage sub-contractors, field installers, and crews on active job sites.
• Manage job site logistics: forecast and schedule manpower, tools, equipment, piping, and fixtures to stay on schedule.
• Schedule and coordinate city plumbing inspections and ensure permits are posted and up to date.
• Collaborate with General Contractors, Builders, Project Managers, and other trade superintendents to align schedules and avoid conflicts.
• Build and track project production schedules and daily site progress.
• Other site management duties as assigned.
