• Five years or more of experience as a Plumbing, Gas Fitter or HVAC Installer.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain City of Hoover Driver's Permit.
• ICC Mechanical or Plumbing certification or ability to obtain within one year.

Aufgaben

• Inspects new and existing properties to ensure compliance with City ordinances, approved plans, and codes.
• Reviews plans and specifications for City and building code compliance with contractors.
• Interprets codes and explains permit and compliance conditions to developers and owners.
• Coordinates plumbing, gas, and mechanical inspection work with City personnel.
• Maintains records of inspections, notices, and regulatory actions taken.
• Reviews blueprints for new construction and performs final inspections to ensure conformity to code.
