Job summary

TP Mechanical in Columbus, OH is seeking an Estimator to lead the estimation and takeoff of plumbing projects. The role requires strong understanding of mechanical contracting and effective communication with designers, owners, and field staff.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Journeyman plumber license or equivalent experience.
Journeyman HVAC license or equivalent experience.
5 years in commercial plumbing/estimating preferred.

Responsibilities

Read project specifications and drawings.
Provide project material takeoffs and pricing.
Attends project site surveys and walks.
Ability to obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
Must stay current with all estimating software and attend training as needed and/or required.
Provides the VP of Estimating quantitative material take-offs and inputs information into spreadsheets.
Ensures smooth and timely estimates.
All other duties as assigned.
