Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead plumbing design and QA for life science, distribution, and industrial projects nationwide. You will collaborate with in-house Development, Architecture, and Construction teams to deliver compliant, cost-conscious designs from concept through construction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of plumbing engineering experience, a BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET), and a PE license or eligibility, with strong Revit/Navisworks skills and excellent

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of related plumbing engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred with ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plumbing engineering design and analysis, and mentor junior engineers/designers.
• Act as responsible in charge during design, contractor, and client meetings.
• Develop plumbing designs and specifications based on codes, principles, and industry standards.
• Ensure designs meet budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Balance plumbing design across multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
• Perform plumbing calculations for layout and sizing; generate clear specs.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for scope compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors from concept to completion.
