Heapy Engineering, Inc. seeks a Senior Plumbing Designer/Engineer in Raleigh, NC, with 8+ years of plumbing experience. The role focuses on standard plumbing design techniques, collaboration across teams, and integration with fire suppression within built environments.

The position supports Healthcare and Corporate teams in a hybrid work setting. A 4-year ABET-accredited degree and FE certification with a path toward PE or CPD are required within the first two years.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a 4-year engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
• Typically 8+ years of plumbing engineering experience.
• FE certification and working toward PE or CPD within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Input into design models with attention to underlying reasons.
• Develop full plans, details, and material/cost estimates for project segments.
• Review vendor shop drawings, bids, and submittals for compliance.
• Collaborate on field observations, data collection, and design reports.
• Apply standard plumbing techniques across projects of varying scope.
• Leverage AI and automation in design and project tasks as appropriate.
• Meet project deadlines and ensure deliverables meet requirements.
