Job summary

PTS Advance in Dallas seeks a senior plumbing engineer to lead design of complex healthcare and commercial projects from concept through construction documentation. You will size and verify full plumbing systems, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with architecture, structure, and MEP teams.

You will remain hands-on, guide multi-discipline teams, and participate in client meetings while contributing to BIM coordination in Revit and Navisworks.

Qualifications

• 7–15+ years of plumbing design experience in consulting engineering.
• Strong background in healthcare and/or complex commercial projects preferred.
• Proven ability to lead plumbing design scope independently.
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes (IPC / UPC / NFPA).
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction documents.
• Strong communication skills with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead plumbing system design from concept through construction documentation.
• Engineer and size full building plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and gas systems where applicable.
• Serve as a primary technical point of contact on assigned projects; coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams.
• Lead QA/QC reviews prior to client submission and support construction administration (RFIs, submittals, field coordination).
• Participate in client and owner meetings as a design representative; mentor junior staff.
• Contribute to BIM coordination in Revit and Navisworks environments.

What you will do

• Lead plumbing system design from concept through construction documentation
• Engineer and size full building plumbing systems including:
• Domestic water distribution (cold/hot, booster systems)
• Sanitary waste and vent systems
• Storm drainage systems
• Natural gas systems (where applicable)
• Serve as a primary technical point of contact on assigned projects
• Coordinate directly with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams
• Lead internal QA/QC reviews prior to client submission
• Support construction administration including RFIs, submittals, and field coordination
• Participate in client and owner meetings as a design representative
• Mentor junior engineers and designers as part of project delivery
• Contribute to BIM coordination efforts in Revit and Navisworks environments
