Job summary

Clayco’s LJC Design & Engineering division seeks a Senior Plumbing Designer to join our in-house Development, Architecture, and Construction teams. You will provide Plumbing Design and QA on nationwide projects, including life science, distribution, industrial, and food & beverage markets.

You will develop designs compliant with IPC/UPC and IBC, perform plumbing calculations, and contribute to construction docs from concept through full construction documentation, collaborating with architects,

Qualifications

• Associates or technical degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of related Plumbing design experience in various industrial and institutional projects.
• Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks. AutoCAD is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity in Bluebeam.
• Solid comprehension of IPC/UPC and IBC standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with design and construction team members.
• Strong desire to achieve technical and personal development aligned with performance goals.
• Effective time management skills and adaptability complementing a fast-paced design build landscape.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team environment with the architect, fellow engineers/designers, and the contractor from project birth through completion.
• Project work may include conceptual design, schematic design, and full construction documentation (drawings and specifications).

The Role We Want You For

The Senior Plumbing Designer will be working with in-house Development, Architecture, and Construction teams to provide Plumbing Design and Quality Assurance on projects for our nationwide clients.

Projects will consist of life science, distribution, industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, or other industrial process markets for existing building improvements and new construction.
