Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Nashville, TN is seeking a senior plumbing designer to join our engineering team. You will prepare detailed plumbing design drawings, coordinate with architects and internal teams, and help ensure models are current and integrated.

Ideal candidates have a two-year technical degree with 6+ years of related experience (or 8+ years without a degree), strong skills in piping design, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.

• Two-year technical degree in a relevant discipline.
• 6+ years of applicable experience - OR - 8+ years of industry experience without a degree.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to deliver accurate drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed plumbing design drawings using industry software.
• Coordinate with architects and internal teams to ensure up-to-date models and seamless integration.
• Perform system design layout and equipment sizing, including load calculations.
• Assist with site observations, field verification, and on-site inspections during construction.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and clients throughout design and construction phases.
• Support project setup, design strategy, and documentation.
