Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of plumbing design experience in the consulting engineering business.
• Self-motivated with the ability to develop approaches to projects independently.
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.

• Excellent problem-solving ability.
• Knowledge of Building, Plumbing, Fire, Energy Conservation, and Fuel Gas codes.
• Knowledge of NFPA and related standards.
• Ability to mentor less experienced designers/engineers.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and related design software.

Job description

We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Plumbing Designer in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office with the ability to serve as a discipline lead for plumbing design. Duties would include plumbing design, equipment selection, plumbing plan layout, specification writing, cost estimating, coordination with other consultants and team members, and client interaction. This position involves working on several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Some local and state travel will be required to perform field investigations, coordinate design requirements, and to build client relations.
