Job summary

Center for Public Partnerships & Research seeks a Plumber Senior to perform skilled plumbing work on campus facilities, including repairs, installation, and maintenance. The role may lead less experienced staff and requires adherence to building codes and KU standards.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 7:30am–4pm. Benefits include generous paid time off, holidays, retirement, medical and dental insurance, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years of journeyman plumber experience required; substitution allowed with an associate degree or vocational certification.
• Backflow certification required or must be obtained within 6 months.
• Valid Driver’s License at time of hire and throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Replaces washers, mends pipes, and maintains piping systems per job specs.
• Plans installation sequences to avoid obstructions and misplacement.
• Assembles, installs, and maintains piping and fixtures for various systems.
• Trains and acts as lead worker to less skilled positions.
