Job Description

The Plumber will be responsible for overseeing and performing complex plumbing tasks, ensuring the efficient operation of all campus plumbing systems. This role requires excellent problem‑solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and functional environment for students, faculty and staff.

The Target Hiring Range for the position is $57,542 - $63,296

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Essential Functions

• Maintenance and Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and water supply systems.
• Safety and Compliance: Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
• Building Access: Enter occupied and unoccupied buildings with appropriate accompaniment.
• Equipment Management: Check out tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Vehicle Operation: Operate state vehicles and equipment safely.
• Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to address facility needs while providing regular updates to their supervisor.
• Physical Exertion: Perform physically demanding tasks requiring strength and frequent moderate lifting (30-60 lbs), often in awkward positions.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
