Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a senior technical leader to oversee data source mapping, data movement, interfaces and analytics to ensure data quality in PLM systems. You will lead domain discussions across multiple teams and contribute to service-oriented data delivery platforms leveraging ALM/PLM, microservices, Hadoop, Elastic Search and Solr.

You will mentor teams, collaborate with business leaders to align projects with strategic goals, and influence budget decisions for critical design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Application Engineering
• Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Responsibilities

• Leads and coordinates domain technical and business discussions relative to future design direction across multiple teams or complex product line
• Analyzes enterprise tools designs and develops a road map along with an implementation plan around PLM and MDM platforms
• Reviews and/or analyzes and develops design at domain level and across multiple teams
• Participates in the EA business-wide and domain governance model
• Leads research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities for multiple teams or complex scenarios
• Provides leadership, technology guidance and mentors others throughout the domain
• Contributes to development of software and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components across teams
• Able to partner with business leaders to align projects with business goals and needs
• Able to recommend allocation of budget to meet design initiatives and develop the business case for approval
• Hands-on to build POC's using emerging technologies and stable design patterns for enterprise-class applications
• Participates in enterprise strategy development including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development
• Experience with ALM/PLM, Microservices, SOA, Big Data systems, Enterprise Search tools, Cloud Technologies, DevOps
• Collaborates with business function to address data-related problems in system integration and product structure
• Enforces methods and validation mechanisms for data quality at the entry point in WI
• Responsible for vendor evaluation within PLM functional space and ongoing relationship management
• Develops cross-functional relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness
