Job summary

APTIM LFG Specialties is seeking a Senior Electrical Controls Specialist to oversee the programming, design, refinement, and integration of our manufactured equipment. The ideal candidate has a background in electrical engineering and uses PLC programming products, primarily those made by Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley.

The role involves developing process ladder logic, OITs, and configuring PLCs to meet project requirements, along with wiring diagrams and control panel schematics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred.
• Experience with construction/manufacturing environments.
• Experience with electrical power distribution design and standards.
• Proficiency with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Strong MS Office skills; CAD/P&ID exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead PLC control system development from concept to qualification.
• Maintain PLC source code version control.
• Design and modify PLC systems and wiring diagrams.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve process performance.
• Conduct prestart-up tests and field support.
• Prepare bid proposals and project plans.
• Manage mid-sized projects and client objectives.
