Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a qualified PLC/Controls Engineer for our Marion, Indiana facility. You will design, develop, install, troubleshoot, modify, maintain, upgrade and back-up PLC software for production equipment, working with maintenance, mechanics, and electricians to support projects and repairs.

Minimum 5 years in manufacturing with PLC programming and CAD, plus knowledge of EH&S regulations. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential in this role within our Industrial,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing (wire & cable experience preferred).
• Advanced computer skills including PLC programming and CAD.
• Knowledge of governmental and industry regulations with regard to EH&S.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of wire and cable equipment and processes.
• Troubleshoot and support electrical/electronic systems in production equipment.
• Provide engineering support to maintenance for equipment operation, safety, and efficiency.
• Manage projects including cost estimations, designs, specifications, procurement, installation, startup, and cost control.
• Coordinate with external engineering, construction, and consulting firms and maintain spare parts awareness.
