Job summary

Synechron, a global consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable Playwright automation frameworks for web and API testing in a Charlotte, NC environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on automation, API validation, and CI/CD pipeline integration within Agile SDLC practices. The candidate will collaborate across product teams, drive quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Quality Engineering or Test Automation experience.
• At least 3+ years hands-on Playwright automation experience.
• Experience with API testing and automation using REST APIs or Postman.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile development practices.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of test reporting, logging, and automation monitoring tools.
• Experience with databases and writing SQL queries for test validation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for web apps, APIs, and end-to-end workflows.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to define testing strategies and quality standards.
• Develop data-driven, reusable automation solutions following best practices.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Develop API automation tests using Playwright, REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and coordinate with development teams for fixes.
• Monitor automation execution, reporting, and test coverage metrics to improve quality.
• Support release validation, production testing, and continuous quality improvement.
