Job summary

Jobtailor in United States (KY) is seeking a Platform Engineer to own performance optimization, capacity planning, and enterprise integrations within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform ecosystems.

You will lead incident management, implement CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub, ensure security/compliance, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant platform engineering experience.
  • Experience administering, supporting, and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and Power Platform environments.
  • Experience with environment management, governance, security, compliance, and operational support.
  • Experience administering Dynamics 365 Project Operations, Field Service, or related workloads.
  • Experience implementing platform security, RBAC, auditing, IAM, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis across enterprise apps and cloud platforms.
  • Experience supporting and monitoring enterprise integrations using APIs, Azure services, messaging tech, and middleware.
  • Experience with ALM, source control, release management, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevSecOps using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring, observability, logging, and APM solutions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, and OpenAI GPT highly desired.
  • Power Platform certifications or equivalent credentials highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Identify performance bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to improve platform and system performance and resource utilization
  • Establish performance benchmarks and conduct capacity planning
  • Lead technical support and troubleshooting activities, including escalated and complex issues
  • Develop troubleshooting procedures and measures to minimize downtime
  • Plan platform and system backups and lead disaster/system recovery design and testing
  • Analyze performance and utilization data, prepare infrastructure performance reports, and implement corrective actions
  • Lead the design, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of complex, highly available, and scalable platforms and systems
  • Maintain configuration compliance with original designs, best practices, and industry standards
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive platform and systems knowledge base
  • Organize training sessions, mentor junior engineers, and promote cross-team knowledge sharing
  • Lead environment strategy, release coordination, deployment governance, change management, and operational readiness
  • Partner with cybersecurity, architecture, infrastructure, and identity management teams on security, compliance, and operational requirements
  • Steward Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and Power Platform ecosystems supporting the enterprise digital transformation program

Job description

Requirements
