Job summary

Elemynt seeks an accomplished backend platform engineer to own the platform layer, including authentication, authorization, multi-tenancy, and middleware. You’ll implement services in Python and the deployment tooling around them, with deployment across customer clouds, on-prem, or hybrid environments.

You will own the release path, telemetry, and instrumentation for deployments and ensure secure, scalable, and observable platforms.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and shipping production software.
• Professional experience with Python as a primary language in production backend systems.
• Production ownership of authentication and authorization: sessions, tokens, RBAC or similar.
• Experience designing multi-tenant systems and middleware: tenant isolation, quotas, audit logging.
• Direct experience owning release processes: CI/CD, quality gates, versioned artifacts, with Kubernetes/Helm.
• Experience shipping software in self-hosted or on-prem installations.
• Experience instrumenting production systems with metrics, logs, traces (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).

Responsibilities

• Own authentication end-to-end: sessions, tokens, service identities, and IDP integration (OIDC, SAML, LDAP).
• Design and own the authorization and tenancy model in code.
• Build admin APIs for organizations, teams, and delegated access, plus middleware for rate limits and audit logs.
• Implement safeguards for customer-managed installations: encryption at rest/in transit, secrets handling.
• Own release path: CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, artifacts, and versioned publishing.
