Job summary

Clarity Innovations seeks a Senior Principal Platform Engineer to bridge compliance strategy and system execution. You will help build a unified, multi-tenant control plane across AWS, Azure, on-prem, and air-gapped environments, translating NIST and DoD guidance into automated solutions using Go and Python.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on platform engineering in cloud infrastructure and zero-trust architectures.
• Direct experience with NIST SP 800-53, RMF (NIST SP 800-37), or FedRAMP, translating control statements into software configurations.
• Proficiency in Go or Python and CI/CD pipeline automation (e.g., GitLab CI) with GitOps workflows.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, SBOM generation, and provenance tracking across cloud and air-gapped systems.
• Experience with enterprise IAM and automated policy engines; active DoD TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Translate security controls into automated admission policies, cross-cloud guardrails, and real-time compliance checks.
• Build pipelines and telemetry dashboards to collect compliance evidence and support ATO lifecycle reporting (eMASS/XACTA).
• Implement end-to-end supply chain controls in CI/CD pipelines, including SBOM, signing, and vulnerability scanning.
• Package and configure security capabilities across IAM, secrets management, service mesh, and network segmentation to enable zero-trust architecture.
• Collaborate with software engineers to convert security requirements into actionable backlog items and guide implementation.
