Job summary

Nomic is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to own our infrastructure stack across AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC. You will scale our multi-tenant platform, optimize model inference, and ensure reliability as we grow the production footprint across customers and environments.

The role provides broad architectural influence and ownership, with a senior IC level impact on deployment strategies, observability, and cost management. Hybrid NYC model preferred; remote considered for the right person.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles running cloud infrastructure in production.
• Strong Kubernetes experience with workloads, debugging, operators, and controllers.
• Solid infrastructure-as-code skills designing modules and managing state.
• Strong software fundamentals; production code in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Linux system and networking fundamentals.
• CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance.
• A proactive orientation with broad ownership.

Responsibilities

• Rollout and deployment orchestration across customer cloud environments.
• Inference and performance optimization for large-scale models and agents.
• Core infrastructure ownership: Kubernetes, multi-account AWS, CI/CD, observability, DR, cost.
• Security posture: access controls, secrets, network security, compliance.
• Infrastructure as code: design modules, manage state, control blast radius.
