Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Senior/Staff Platform Engineer for a highly autonomous, hands-on role in the United States. The candidate will own and evolve large-scale Kubernetes platforms across cloud and hybrid environments, focusing on reliability, security, and observability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevOps with staff-level scope preferred.
• Proven experience building and operating production Kubernetes platforms.
• Production programming in Go, Python, or Java.
• Strong reliability, incident response, and ownership of complex initiatives.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions and work with external customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and continuously improve production Kubernetes platforms including cluster architecture, networking, resource management, security, upgrades, scaling, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes and infrastructure issues across CNI, scheduling, nodes, and cluster-level failures.
• Operate multi-environment infrastructures across cloud/hybrid/bare-metal setups.
• Develop production tooling in Go/Python/Java to improve platform operations and developer experience.
• Own incident response, root-cause analysis, remediation, and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Define and improve SLOs/SLIs, alerts, and operational processes with observability tooling.
• Build infrastructure as code using Terraform or equivalent and improve automation patterns.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD workflows with a balance of speed, security, and reliability.
• Participate in migrations, cutovers, rollback strategies, and production validation.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to RFCs, design reviews, and engineering direction.
