Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Huntsville OPS Center. You will build and modernize critical infrastructure, focusing on Kubernetes, OpenShift, and virtualization to support both modern and legacy systems.

You will work with ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, GitLab, and IaC practices to enable CI/CD pipelines and automation, including in-house AI initiatives. This role is based in Huntsville, AL, involved in NASA missions and Artemis program operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Hands-on Kubernetes experience across multiple distributions including OpenShift and EKS.
Strong Linux administration in Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian, and Windows.
Fluent CLI proficiency with oc, kubectl, virtctl, and Linux utilities.
Experience with AWS Cloud; GitOps using ArgoCD and GitLab.
Configuration management with Ansible; OpenShift Virtualization.
Observability with Prometheus/Grafana and Splunk for logs.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure management: build and manage Kubernetes across OpenShift, Charm Kubernetes, and AWS EKS/OpenShift.
GitOps & CI/CD: implement IaC pipelines using ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, and GitLab.
Platform tooling: maintain GitLab, Red Hat Satellite, and Prometheus/Grafana.
Troubleshooting: escalate and resolve complex Kubernetes issues across legacy environments.
Architectural guidance: design robust Kubernetes-based solutions as projects evolve.
AI infrastructure support: assist in in-house AI infra on Red Hat OpenShift and Poolside.ai.
