Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Platform Engineer in Huntsville, AL. You will build, modernize, and operate critical systems infrastructure with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and GitOps workflows to support both modern and legacy environments.

You will work on AI infrastructure, automation, and observability tooling while collaborating with teams supporting NASA missions like ISS operations and Artemis activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes distributions including OpenShift, Charm Kubernetes, EKS, and AWS GovCloud.
• Strong administration in Linux environments (Red Hat/RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, Windows).
• Fluent in essential CLI tools including oc, kubectl, virtctl, and standard Linux utilities.
• Experience with AWS Cloud infrastructure and GitOps using GitLab, ArgoCD, and Ansible.
• Experience with OpenShift Virtualization and observability tooling (Prometheus/Grafana, Loki, Splunk).

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage Kubernetes infrastructure across distributions (OpenShift, Charm Kubernetes, AWS EKS/OpenShift).
• Architect and implement Kubernetes solutions using IaC, ArgoCD, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain core infrastructure tools (GitLab, Red Hat Satellite, Prometheus/Grafana) for modern and legacy environments.
• Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes-based issues and support legacy Linux/Windows virtualization.
• Provide architectural guidance for Kubernetes-based solutions as requirements evolve.
• Support in-house AI infrastructure efforts using Red Hat AI on OpenShift and Poolside.ai.
