Job summary

Tekaccel Inc seeks a Senior Platform Engineer (Kubernetes) to own and operate enterprise Kubernetes platforms from Phoenix onsite. You will drive end-to-end upgrades, troubleshooting, and platform automation, partnering with developers to enable scalable, reliable data-heavy workloads.

The role requires hands-on Kubernetes and Linux expertise, experience with OpenShift/Rancher, Terraform-based automation, and strong observability skills using Prometheus and Grafana. Onsite collaboration expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Kubernetes administration and production troubleshooting.
• Experience deploying and managing enterprise Kubernetes platforms using OpenShift and/or Rancher.
• Strong RHEL/Linux administration and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of Linux storage, LVM, filesystems, RAID, and server hardware.
• Understanding of networking, TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing, SSH, TLS/SSL, certificates, and PKI.
• Experience with Kubernetes storage via CSI and dynamic provisioning (Pure Storage integration).
• Automation scripting with Shell/Bash, Python, and Ansible.
• Terraform and IaC for automated infrastructure provisioning.
• Hands-on with Helm, Argo CD, and GitOps for deployments.
• Strong Git/GitHub usage and CI/CD pipelines, including environment promotion.
• Container tech experience with Docker/Podman, registries, networking, storage, runtime troubleshooting.
• Observability with Prometheus and Grafana for metrics, dashboards, alerts.
• Design/operate scalable, highly available Platform-as-a-Service environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale data ingestion and ETL workloads.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot end-to-end across hardware, OS, network, containers, and Kubernetes services.
• Deploy, configure, upgrade, and operate enterprise Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift/Rancher).
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform and IaC practices.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (Argo CD).
• Build observability dashboards and alerting with Prometheus/Grafana.

• Strong end-to-end troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across hardware storage OS network containers Kubernetes platform services applications
• Experience with using LLDP for hardware network-layer identification and TCPDUMP for network troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge equivalent to CCENT / Network+ for Server network configurations / validations, inclusive of NIC Bonding and LACP requirements
