Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Senior Developer - Platform Engineer to own our Databricks on Azure platform, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable data foundations. You’ll guide a multi-year cloud modernization, enabling engineers, analysts, and business teams to operate with confidence.

You’ll partner across data engineering, analytics, governance, and business units to strengthen platform capabilities and drive cost efficiency while maintaining strong security and governance controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles.
• Hands-on Databricks and Azure production experience.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services: ADLS Gen2, Active Directory, networking, and security.
• Experience with SQL Server data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer Databricks on Azure platform, Unity Catalog, cluster policies, governance, security and access controls.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and reliability of data pipelines.
• Manage Azure components (ADLS Gen2, Key Vault, Azure AD integrations, networking, security).
• Support SQL Server enterprise data warehouse migration to Databricks with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, governance and business teams to improve platform capabilities.
• Lead cost optimization, observability, automation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
