Job summary

District Partners in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure to build foundational platforms, tooling, and automation for a fast-growing, AI-driven software organization. You will own end-to-end delivery across SDLC, from development through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in software or platform engineering, strong Python/Rust/Go/Java, and hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and secure cloud

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience across Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated SDLC experience across development, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Strong knowledge of modern programming languages (Python, Rust, Go, Java).
• Experience building internal tooling, automation, and platform capabilities with software.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining the infrastructure foundation for modern software development and deployment.
• Writing production-quality code to build internal tooling, automation frameworks, and platform services.
• Developing Python-based automation and operational tooling to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, deployment frameworks, and release automation.
• Supporting software lifecycle from development to operations and continuous improvement.
