Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript (or similar backend technologies).
• Understanding of object-oriented design, basic design patterns, and API/service development.
• Experience building or contributing to backend services or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with testing practices, including unit and integration testing.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
• Strong willingness to learn, ask questions, and take ownership of work.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
• Support the development of modular, service-oriented architecture for data ingestion, transformation, and access
• Integrate platform services with data contracts, schema validation, metadata, lineage, and governance systems
• Write clean, testable code with an emphasis on unit and integration testing
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Participate in design and code reviews, learning and applying engineering best practices
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments
• Collaborate with engineers across platform, data, and governance teams
