Job summary
Bryant Technologies in Washington, DC seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to join Enterprise Hosting Services. You will architect, deploy, and manage on-prem VMware platforms and AWS GovCloud, while enabling secure, hybrid infrastructure and AI-enabled workloads.
The role requires senior expertise in VMware ESXi, Kubernetes, Terraform, and automation, with compliance to NIST 800-53 and FISMA. This contract through 31/12/2026 on-site, with potential extension.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise-grade ESXi servers and VMware server software.
- Experience designing, planning, testing, implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting large VMware installations.
- Expert knowledge of ESXi server implementations, VLAN, VMC, and hybrid cloud.
- Experience with Aria Automation, Aria Orchestrator, and Aria Operations.
- Experience with PowerShell/PowerCLI scripting.
- On-premises data center and AWS GovCloud experience.
- Knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls and FISMA compliance frameworks.
- Experience in financial services or federal government environments.
- VMware or Kubernetes certifications preferred (CKA, CKAD).
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises data centers and AWS GovCloud, ensuring compliance with federal security standards
- Administer and optimize hypervisor clusters (VMware vSphere, ESXi) for enterprise workloads
- Manage Kubernetes fleet operations across on-premises VMware vSphere with Kubernetes (VKS) and AWS EKS
- Lead application modernization initiatives, migrating and optimizing workloads across cloud and on-premises environments
- Implement audit logging, monitoring, and observability solutions across hybrid environments
- Support security engineering initiatives including vulnerability management, compliance automation, and security hardening
- Support AI/ML capabilities and cloud-native solutions
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure systems meet NIST 800-53 and FISMA compliance requirements
- Automate operational tasks and improve platform reliability across cloud and on-premises
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment using Jira for project management
- Contribute to architectural decisions and hybrid cloud strategy

We are seeking a talented Senior Platform Engineer to join our Enterprise Hosting Services team at the forefront of secure, innovative hybrid infrastructure. This role involves architecting, deploying, and managing both on-premises VMware platforms and AWS GovCloud platforms while supporting emerging AI capabilities, modern containerized workloads, and enterprise virtualization environments.
The ideal candidate will contribute to architectural decisions, lead application modernization initiatives, and ensure compliance with federal security standards across a complex hybrid infrastructure environment.

- Minimum 7 years of experience supporting enterprise-grade ESXi servers and VMware server software
- Experience designing, planning, testing, implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting large VMware installations

- Experience with Aria Automation, Aria Orchestrator, and Aria Operations
